Creative Output
Job! I now have a real J-O-B, working for Google. This means less time to make my website interesting, but more time on making the web itself interesting. I spent my first 2.5 years working in the Evaluation group within Search Quality, on measuring, tracking, and understanding search. In August 2008 I moved to the Economics group, to work on analyzing ad auctions. (Patri left Google to work at The Seasteading Institute, see below).

I am the Executive Directory of The Seasteading Institute, a
small research organization (applying for nonprofit status)
who's mission is "To establish permanent, autonomous ocean
communities to enable experimentation and innovation with
diverse social, political, and legal systems."
Tortuga - I helped found this Mountain View retrofit cohousing community. As of fall 2008, we have 13 adults and 3 kids. If you are interested in cohousing in silicon valley, read about joining our community.
